Business Growth Event and Go-To-Market Strategies with Enterprise Ireland – CINC25

On 8th October, Cyber Ireland hosted its annual Business Growth event as part of Cyber Ireland National Conference (CINC25) in Kilkenny, together with Enterprise Ireland. The session gathered over 60 people and was divided into two blocks, one covering our Business Growth workstream and activities by our Industry leads, and a second one led by Enterprise Ireland (EI), which provided an opportunity to hear about practical guidance and support available from EI market advisors.

The first part of the session was opened by David McNamara, CEO of CommSec, and Chair of the Business Growth Committee, who welcomed everyone and explained the activities that had been carried out to improve cybersecurity for SMEs.

He was followed by fellow committee members Colin Reid (Commercial Director, Threatscape), Colm Healy (CEO, Corrata), Rahim Jina (Co-founder and COO, Edgescan) who provided updates and presented the activities that the Business Growth Working group is doing to support cybersecurity businesses to start-up, scale and innovate across its different workstreams.

Following on from this, Rahim moderated the second block of the event, titled “Go-To-Market Strategies“, which consisted of an interactive panel that offered practical advice on how EI supports businesses to successfully thrive in international and European markets. The panel was formed by the following EI market advisors and their respective buyers from each region:

  • Sara Bonomi. Market Advisor – Digital Technologies (EI Italy),
  • Jack Mulcahy, Senior Market Advisor – IT Services, Cybersecurity and Tech Solutions (EI United Kingdom)
  • Judith Harrington, Senior Market Advisor – Digital Technologies & Services (EI Australia/New Zealand)

Finally, the panel was followed by a Q&A, offering panellists a chance to provide answers for attendees, and providing further insights on their market experience and lessons learned.
