Cyber Careers for Students – How Industry Can Support

This webinar will educate cyber security professionals on the cyber security career and education programmes available to secondary school students (11-18-year-olds), running in 2023. Each organisation will give a short overview of their programme and explain how industry can get involved and support them.

Cyber Futures is a partnership between Cyber Skills and Cyber Ireland, funded by SFI. It aims to showcase the potential for a cyber career in Ireland and help young people make decisions about their future careers through promoting cyber roles, industry career videos and Cyber resources. The Cyber Academy – is
a week-long summer camp for 16-18-year-olds to learn cyber security skills.
Cyber Schools Security Challenge, run by ZeroDays CTF, is a Capture The Flag (CTF) competition for student teams to explore their interest in cyber security in a fun and inclusive way.
Cybersecurity pilot course for Junior Cycle, developed by the UCD School of Education, aims to help Junior Cycle students understand its key aspects and challenges and evaluate the field as a possible career opportunity later in life.
