Cyber Pulse 2025: From Regulation to Response

Cyber Ireland’s Dublin Chapter is hosting an in-person event on 18th June at KPMG, Dublin, focused on the evolving landscape of cybersecurity regulation.

The event will include:

  • An introduction and overview of the Cybersecurity Regulatory Challenges
  • A breakdown of the NIS2 Directive and its implications for various types of organisations
  • First-hand insights into how some organisations are navigating the NIS2 compliance journey

We’ll also explore the increasing powers of regulators — including fines, corrective measures, executive bans, and reputational consequences — and discuss how regulatory risk is shifting in Ireland and internationally, along with strategies for effective risk management.

Why Attend

  • Gain insights into Ireland’s new sectoral supervision model, where sector-specific regulators oversee compliance, coordinated nationally by the NCSC.
  • Learn how Supervision under NIS2 is moving beyond self-assessment to include audits, ad-hoc inspections, and active monitoring.
  • Find out more about Regulators’ enforcement powers, including fines, corrective orders, executive bans, and reputational penalties.
  • Learn about the new laws (NIS2, DORA, CER Directive, CRA, AI Act etc) that are changing how companies respond to a cyber incident.
  • Hear how regulatory risk is changing in Ireland and globally, and how should this be managed.
  • Understand the common issues that arise when managing regulatory risk in a cyber incident, and how should these be managed.
