Overview of speakers

Edel O’Shea

Edel is a Cyber Security professional, currently working as an Associate Director on the Cyber Security Consulting Team in Grant Thornton Ireland. She has gained experience across a variety of Cyber Security domains, specialising in Security Strategy & Architecture and Identity and Access Management (IAM). She has 5+ years of experience providing Cyber Security Consulting services to a range of clients, focusing primarily on highly regulated industries, such as Financial Services and Pharmaceuticals.

Andy Rock

Andy Rock is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. His career has spanned various roles, including Network Architect and Cloud Specialist at Check Point. For the past three years, Andy has been the Cloud Lead at Integrity360, where he serves as a Solutions Architect, leveraging his extensive expertise to drive innovative cloud solutions for clients. His deep knowledge and hands-on experience in both network and cloud technologies make him a key player in the IT infrastructure and security landscape.

Cormac O’Keeffe

Cormac has worked with Dell Technologies over 12 years, starting his journey in IT. Cormac is a key member of the Cyber Defense organisation, serving as the Product Manager for the Cloud Security team. In this capacity, he utilizes his expertise and leadership to develop innovative cloud solutions.

Simon Walsh

Simon is a Cyber Security Architect and Tech Lead for Trend Micro’s UK & Ireland business, based out of Trend’s European Operations Centre in Cork. With over 20 years’ experience in cyber, Simon provides expert, focused, valuable awareness and guidance to customers, partners, and anyone else interested in thriving in the current IT and threat landscape. Simon works with organisations both small and large across all verticals, both public and private sector, designing, implementing, and supporting complex, robust security solutions to meet diverse sets of requirements. Supporting and guiding organisations through challenging cyber breaches has also been a key focus area during recent years. Simon is an experienced presenter and public speaker, and a dedicated volunteer in Trend’s Internet Safety for Kids and Families program. He’s also a law graduate, computer science post graduate, and holds numerous industry qualifications. Simon’s “free” time is spent juggling family, a still-growing record collection, cooking, reading, and ongoing efforts to draw that all important yet elusive big picture.
