In July 2026, Dublin will host the Women’s International Cybersecurity Challenge (WICC), bringing together top young female cybersecurity talent from around the world for a unique global competition and collaboration.
Taking place on 9–10 July 2026 at TU Dublin’s Grangegorman campus, the WICC is a premier Capture the Flag (CTF) event designed to showcase technical excellence while creating opportunities for learning, mentoring, and international connection.
Showcasing Global Talent
The WICC will welcome competitors from teams across Africa, Europe, Canada, Ireland, Latin America & The Caribbean, Ukraine, and the US to take on advanced cybersecurity challenges in areas such as cryptography, reverse engineering, forensics, and web exploitation.
Beyond competition, the event provides participants with access to expert mentoring, workshops, and collaborative learning experiences that strengthen both technical skills and team development.
Addressing the Skills and Gender Gap
The WICC is driven by a clear mission: to strengthen the global cybersecurity workforce by empowering more women to pursue and advance in technical roles.
By creating a dedicated platform for women aged 18–29, we aim to build confidence, capability, and a strong international network of future cybersecurity leaders.
A Collaborative National Effort
WICC 2026 is delivered through a unique collaboration between industry, academia, and government in Ireland, led by ZeroDays alongside the National Cyber Security Centre, Cyber Ireland, TU Dublin, UCD, and MTU.
The event forms part of the journey towards the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) 2027, which will also be hosted in Dublin, further positioning Ireland at the centre of global cyber talent development.
Building the Future of Cybersecurity
More than a competition, the WICC is an investment in the future of cybersecurity – fostering diverse talent, advancing skills, and strengthening global collaboration.
