1st June. Cyber Skills Official Launch
Cyber Skills will be hosting its official launch, virtually on June 1st at 10:30am. The hour long launch will be coming to you live from the VE Studios Cork where industry partners, cyber security researchers and university project partners take us through the importance of addressing cyber skills shortages in Ireland and the benefits this project will have to industry both nationally and internationally.
The launch will be hosted by Professor Donna O’Shea Project Lead and Chair of Cyber Security at MTU. Donna will be joined by Dr. Eoin Byrne, Cluster Manager of Cyber Ireland who will lead our first panel discussion with project partners Prof. Joseph Walsh Munster Technological University, Dr. Anthony Keane TU Dublin, Dr. Thomas Newe University of Limerick and Dr. Ray Genoe University College Dublin. Our MC for the event will be Cyber Skills Project Manager Jacqueline Kehoe.
The agenda includes fireside chats and panel discussions with project partners and Prof. Donna O’Shea will host an insightful panel discussion with industry partners; Richard Parker Director of Cyber Security Infrastructure and Bob Savage VP Regional CIO for EMEA & Cork site leader Dell Technologies, Sarah Cunningham VP and lead of Mastercard’s European Technology Hub and Brendan Gormley VP Security Engineering at Mastercard on the insidious gap in cyber skills.
There will also be a fireside chat with Vivienne Patterson Head of Skills and Engagement at Higher Education Authority.
