Cybersecurity Innovation & Entrepreneurship Founders Programme

Cyber Innovate is a “Needs-Led” innovation and entrepreneurship training programme focused on the cybersecurity sector, which is funded by Enterprise Ireland and the ERDF, to develop founders and new tech start-ups. The programme provides a €39,000 tax-free scholarship for a 10-month programme to allows participants to immersive themselves in a specially designed Immersive Environment to identify and validate a Problem/Solution which may lead to a new start-up, post programme.

We are currently recruiting for the third cohort of students to begin next year’s programme in August. We are looking for mid-career professionals (Level 8 Qualification and 5+ years relevant experience post University graduation) who have a strong interest in founding and leading a new tech start-up. We have filled most of our 12 places for next year and have 1 place available for next year. The programme is full-time and requires the students to be on site in Cork from late August to June 2027. Note the programme’s primary objective is to develop the next generation of cybersecurity founders and the creation of new cybersecurity start-ups. It is not a programme focused on increasing your cybersecurity technical or market knowledge of enhancing your CV.

Our first cohort of 12 (working in teams of 3) have gone on to form 4 start-ups to date (Ailtire, Mulcahy-Ward, Resilium and Docuwill) and one additional project has secured 430k in research funding from Enterprise Ireland through the commercialisation fund.

We are looking for people from multiple backgrounds as follows, the key requirement is the desire to found and lead a start-up:

• Technical: Cybersecurity, AI, Software, ICT, Engineering, Data Analysts, etc
• Commercial – Business, MBA Graduates, GRC, Marketing / Sales Leaders.
