A new and exciting opportunity for a Sr. Procurement Specialist / Manager with 3 years plus experience has arisen to join our team here in Cork, Ireland. We are looking for a candidate that is super detail-oriented, curious, and analytical and has the ability to think outside the box for problem-solving and solutions.

The individual must demonstrate highly effective collaboration internally and externally, have a passionate focus on success, commit to continuous improvement and operates effectively with minimal supervision. The role will proactively develop, maintain and execute plans for our vendor portfolio and in collaboration with our business partners, be primarily responsible for managing the vendor management lifecycle, including an outsourced procurement partner.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be responsible for daily procurement activities – be a hands-on leader that understands and performs daily tactical and strategic activities as necessary.
  • Maintain accountability to ensure procurements are executed as per contract requirements and client expectations, including change orders and specific contract obligations.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including legal, security, FP&A, and internal business partners to identify, understand and fulfil their procurement requirements.
  • Continually explore new technologies, existing system updates and process enhancements to optimize performance, efficiency and transparency to stakeholders.
  • Offer guidance and support to employees and key vendors during the procurement process.
  • An ability to work independently and as an effective team member; demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise sound judgement.
  • Be servicing allocated requisitions by undertaking and managing the procurement of services for projects.
  •  Manage purchase order issuance.
  • Manage contract development, finalisation, and administration with rigorous attention to detail.
  • Set up and manage the onboarding of new vendors.
  • Administer and maintain changes to Master Vendor data in NetSuite.
  • Provide weekly and monthly procurement reporting to management.
  • Support external audit, including internal controls compliance.
  • Develop and deliver a global procurement training program for internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Establish, measure and report on OKRs, KPI and global procurement strategy.
  • Supplying administrative support to the team as required

Skills You’ll Need to Have

  • 3+ years of relevant procurement experience
  • Educated to third level in a relevant subject area and/or possess a relevant professional qualification.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of end-to-end tendering processes and be able to streamline processes.
  • Excellent communication abilities and influencing skills particularly related to negotiating contracts, responding to vendor inquiries, resolving potential sensitivities, and training partners.
  • Strong analytical, customer service, and collaboration skills with client services to determine client needs, to liaise with and develop and maintain effective working relationships with user departments.
  • Can work cross-functionally and demonstrate strong commercial, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
    Strong computer skills, and experience using spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (vlookups, Pivot tables and other formulas), Adobe Acrobat and DocuSign.
  • Experience Netsuite Procurement Module is also an advantage
