Cyber Skills Survey Update

We have launched the first annual Cyber Security Skills survey that will provide better data to understand the current cyber labour market in Ireland. Over 70 organisations have already responded to our first annual Cyber Security Skills survey to date which gives us exceptional data to analyse. We are extending the deadline to accommodate annual leave in August.

Please take this opportunity to identify and address skills challenges for the cyber security sector and contribute to the Skills Survey Report. The survey is targeted at the most senior person responsible for cyber security in the organisation or the HR Manager. Only one survey is to be completed for each organisation. It takes approx. 15 minutes and can be taken at:

Help Inspire Young People into a Cyber Security Career

Smart Futures is an initiative that aims to promote careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) to second level students. We help students to see the wide range of careers available, to discover the people working in STEM, the organisations they’re working in and what their interests and skills are. This is achieved through our online presence which consists of our website (Smartfutures.ie) and social media channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram). Smart Futures wishes to showcase the exciting and diverse careers in Cyber Security and is actively seeking roles models to feature on the Smart Futures website and social media channels.

Tell us about your career to help inspire young people to consider cyber security as a career. We’re looking to show the diversity of the cyber security sector with people from all backgrounds: technical and non-technical, entry level to C-Suite, gender, race and  age.  If you are interested in being involved, please contact Nicola at [email protected].”
