Ireland’s first Cybersecurity Sector Analysis & Survey

Survey Deadline 30th of September

We have found that there are no comprehensive data or reports on the size and scale of Ireland’s cyber security sector. We are now undertaking research to analyse the sector, including the companies, operations, the contribution to the economy and potential future growth.

Initial research has identified 480 companies employing 7,200 people in cyber security.

We are currently surveying all 480 cyber-related companies in Ireland to provide further information on their organisation’s cyber security operations.

Cyber Skills have an exciting panel to discuss how the cyber security industry can promote careers in cyber security to secondary school students in Ireland. The panel will discuss initiatives that aim to inspire students, some focused on cybersecurity and other larger events that focus on the wider STEM field. They will also outline how the industry can get involved.

EU Cyber Resilience Act For Connected Devices

The New EU Dual-use Regulation and Ireland

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) hosted an online event to mark the commencement of the EU Dual-use Regulation ((EU) 2021/821), which came into force on 9th September 2021.
It discussed the relevant implications for exporters, in particular, concerning cyber-surveillance technologies.
