Cyber Ireland, the national cyber security cluster organisation, has launched a comprehensive strategy aimed at driving the growth of Ireland’s cyber security sector by 2030.

The cluster was established in 2019 out of the need to represent the sector and address the cyber security skills shortage and has evolved into a national representative body, uniting over 160 member organisations, including start-ups, SMEs, multinational corporations, and educational institutions. After four years, now is the opportune time to reflect on what has been achieved and develop the strategy to realise its ambition to 2030.

State of the Cyber Security Sector in Ireland 2022

Cyber Ireland is delighted to announce that the inaugural ‘State of the Cyber Security Sector in Ireland’ Report is now available. The report was formally launched by Mr Ossian Smyth, Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform on May 13th 2022.

For the first time, the Irish cyber security community have an in-depth analysis of the sector, its contribution to Ireland’s economy and the potential opportunities for its future. The report is an economic baseline for the sector and will form the basis of subsequent recommendations and policies within Cyber Ireland.
