The CCPC is seeking to recruit a Senior Digital Investigations Analyst for its Digital Investigations Division (DID). In addition to the immediate appointment from this campaign, an order of merit may be established. This may be used to fill any future vacancies at the same level within this or other Divisions of the CCPC where roles have similar responsibilities and/or similar skills are required.
About the Digital Investigations Division:
DID has responsibility for Digital Forensics, eDiscovery and Open Source Intelligence for all Units and aiding of other agencies across Europe. DID is charged with supporting all other Divisions within the CCPC, particularly the Enforcement Divisions in the areas of Digital Forensics, eDiscovery and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT). The DID has undergone an expansion with the full transformation of laboratory systems and technical resources coupled with a comprehensive L&D strategy to ensure that all of the team are certified in the necessary tools.
What the role of Senior Digital Investigations Analyst entails:
The Senior Digital Investigations Analyst will assist in providing technical assistance to investigating officers during search operations and also on a day to day basis in relation to the digital forensic investigation of computers, mobile phones and other digital devices.
The Senior Digital Investigations Analyst will work closely with the Head of Unit and all Enforcement Divisions ensuring that all digital investigations are managed in compliance with international best practice as it relates to criminal investigation digital forensic standards.
Funding and related supports for further education may be made available should the successful candidate be ready to undertake post-graduate studies in this area. The role will give the successful candidate the platform to build collaborative networks with other professionals along with other development opportunities. People and project management opportunities can be availed of which will provide the role holder an excellent skillset to assist in career progression in the area.
