General information:
The South Chapter has been running since 2020 and brings together cyber security organizations in the Munster region in partnership with the Tech Industry Alliance.
The South-West Region is the hub of Ireland’s cyber security sector with over 100 cyber security companies/operations, the highest cybersecurity employment per capita in Ireland, and the highest concentration of cyber security MNCs. There is a supportive ecosystem, with talent fueled by Munster Technological University, which hosts Cyber Skills, and University College of Cork, as well as the education and training boards and private training providers. TIA is the technology industry association of the South-West region with a strong cyber security membership. CorkSec is a monthly meetup (running since 2013) for anyone interested in Information Security in the Munster region with hundreds of members.
